Intern Projects

Hi, my name is Antonia Senz! I am the 2019 McCormick Bridgehouse & Chicago River Museum intern. I am also a student, studying Geography and Environmental Studies at Northeastern Illinois University. If I’m not at school, or the museum, you will find me running or biking the lakefront trail and exploring the city’s various greenspaces. 

Join me this weekend, August 3rd and 4th, to learn about the early landscape of the Chicago River. We will explore how forests and prairies worked in unison with the river, to create a versatile and resilient ecosystem. We will also learn how early inhabitants of the area modified and utilized the river's landscape. I look forward to exploring the history and wildlife of the Chicago River with you.
