The City of Chicago's Department of Transportation Just Released the Spring Boat Lift Schedule.  

The passage of boats making their way from their winter slumber to the lake is always a sight for pedestrians and those watching from their office towers; not so fun for the drivers who halt for the lifts. Come join us on Saturdays when we are open to the public and view the bridge lift and gears churn from inside our historic bridgetower.  There's nothing like it!
